Packed with technology and power, that doesn't make the Niterider a bad price, just something worth keeping in mind when comparing like for like. It is also about to be superseded by the 1200.

I can't tell you if you need the 1100 or 900 Boost model, save to say that if you go off-road during your night rides you might appreciate the extra lumens of the 1100 Boost over the 900.
